Paul F. Smith of Niles passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 2:09 a.m. in the intensive care unit of Trumbull Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was 73.

He was born in Simpson, WV on April 21, 1944, the son of the late Fred and Ivy Peters Smith.

Mr. Smith was a graduate of Flemington High School in Flemington, WV.

Paul was employed for 23 years at Cicero’s Market on Robbins Avenue. He also was employed at Durso’s Bakery for many years. Paul retired from WCI Steel where he was a Nozzle Setter.

He was of Baptist faith. Paul enjoyed NASCAR Races and attending races at Sharon Speedway. He liked to watch old westerns on television, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and was meticulous about his yard. Most importantly he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Wiseman Smith whom he married in 1966; 2 daughters, Patricia Tenney of Niles and Sherry (Jesus) Solivan of Niles; a son, Joseph Smith of Idaho; 2 sisters, Mary Shaffer and Paulet Taylor; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a son Paul Smith Jr.; 5 brothers; 1 sister; 1 great grandchild; a son in law Walter Tenney.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Wm Nicholas Funeral Home & Cremation Services LLC 614 Warren Ave. Niles, OH 44446.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Kenneth Sigley.

Internment will take place in Kerr Cemetery.
