William "Bill" D. Bussey

William “Bill” D. Bussey of New Castle, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. in Windsor House at Parkside Health Care Center Columbiana, OH. He was 62.

Bill was born on September 12, 1955 in New Castle, the son of the late William E. and Alice J. Harper Bussey.

He attended Union School Systems. Mr. Bussey was employed as a laborer for the Salvation Army Warehouse and assisted in cleaning and stocking shelves at the Triangle Bar and Grill in New Castle.

Bill was of Catholic faith. He was a social member of the VFW Donald Lockett Post 6488 in Coitsville and always looked forward visiting with his friends there. Mr. Bussey enjoyed camping with his brother, and trips to his sister’s house in the Pennsylvania mountains. Family and friends were important to Bill, and he cherished the memories that he made with them.

Mr. Bussey is survived by a son, William Bussey Jr. of Austintown; 2 brothers, Daniel (Wendy) Bussey of New Middletown, OH and Curtis (Melissa) Woods of Negley, OH; 3 sisters, Sharon Gennock of Dunkirk, NY, Jane (Rick) Long of Millvale, PA, and Christine Woods of Odessa, TX; a brother-in-law, Cecil Sowers of Frizzleburg, PA; 14 nieces and nephews; 22 great nieces and nephews; 1 great great niece; Bill is also survived by a very dear friend, Jim Gettings.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Sowers; 2 nieces, Danielle Bussey and Ceara Burns.

The family would like to thank the caring staff of Parkside Health Care Center and Grace Hospice for the care and support that Bill and their family received.
