William H. Griffin

William H. Griffin, Sr., 83, of Howland, died Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna. He was born January 12, 1927 in Chicago, Ill., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Grady G. Griffin, Sr., and had lived in Trumbull County most of his adult life.

Mr. Griffin worked for General Motors for 30 years, retiring in 1987 as a water purification specialist at General Motors - Lordstown. He enjoyed being with his friends, playing chess and checkers, and watching sports on television, especially the Indians and the Browns.

Surviving are his son, William H. Griffin, Jr. of Howland, and two grandsons. His parents and a brother, Grady G. Griffin, Jr. precede him in death.

A memorial service will be conducted 12:00 noon Saturday, August 14, 2010 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Grady Williams of Trinity Baptist Church officiating.
