William E. Gillam

William Edward Gillam, 58, of Warren, died 11:10 AM Friday, September 23, 2005, at home. He was born July 8, 1947 in Warren, the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. William Leroy Gillam, and lived in the Warren area most of his life.

Bill served in the U.S. Navy and had been employed as a driver for Nick Strimbu Trucking. He was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, motorcycles, and playing with his grandchildren.

Bill will be sadly missed by his wife, Laura Elizabeth (Wilson) Gillam, whom he married July 17, 1966; three daughters: Patricia Eileen (Christopher) Tress of Niles, Teresa Marie (Jesse, Jr.) Mason of Princeton, La., and Cynthia Ann Gillam of Warren; eight grandchildren: Jesse Edward, Joshua Nathaniel, and Jason Lee Mason, Heather Nicole and Nicholas Sebastian Tress, Steven Austin, Hailey LeeAnn and Nadia Marie Currence; a sister, Gloria Ann Streitferdt of Warren; and Buttercup, his all-around buddy and man's best friend.

Services for Bill will be 11:00 AM Monday at the chapel of Pineview Memorial Park, 4049 Youngstown Rd. S.E., Warren, Ohio 44484, with Rev. Scott Praxl of North-Mar Church of the Christian & Missionary Alliance officiating. Interment at Pineview Memorial Park will follow. Friends may call at the Pineview Memorial Park chapel from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Monday. Material contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 525 N. Broad St., Canfield, Ohio 44406.
