Wendell Chance

Wendell M. Chance, 68, of Lawrenceville, Georgia and formerly of Warren, died Wednesday, July 2, 2003 at the Embracing Care Hospice in Snellville, Georgia.

Mr. Chance was born Octover 1, 1934 in Warren. He was the son of the late Charles and Sarah (Buford) Whiting. Mr. Chance was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and worked for 36 years at Republic Steel, retiring as a foreman in 1987.

Surviving Mr. Chance are his wife, Waltraud Sendlak Chance, whom he married November 23, 1965; a daughter, Tanya Maria Chance of Lawrenceville, Georgia; a sister, Patricia Parker of Decatur, Georgia; and a grandson, Justin Chance of Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Preceding Mr. Chance in death are his parents and a brother, Bernard Smith.

Friends may call at the McFarland & Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Avenue Warren, Ohio on Tuesday, July 8, 2003 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM. There are no services. Private entombment will take place at Pineview Cemetery.
