Wanda G. Grubb

Wanda G. Grubb, 79, of Champion, died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Forum Health - Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. She was born April 8, 1928 in French Creek, W. Va., the daughter of Jared and Ivvie (Smith) Armstrong, and had lived in Trumbull County for over 50 years.

Mrs. Grubb graduated from high school in Buckhannon, W. Va. She belonged to the Wednesday Morning Glories bowling league for over 30 years. She enjoyed NASCAR, camping, walking, sewing, and listening to bluegrass music.

Surviving are her children: Edward A. Grubb, Sr. of Warren, and Karen L. Grubb and Candice L. (Barry) Williams, both of Champion; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Maxine Davis of Buckhannon, W. Va.; and her best friend, Zoe. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Carroll E. Grubb, Sr., whom she married August 17, 1947 and who died May 22, 1999; a son, Carroll E. Grubb, Jr.; two daughters, Sandra and Sonja Grubb; and a brother, Gaylord Armstrong.

A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2008 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. William Kemp of Champion Church of God officiating. Friends may call 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
