Waltraud Chance

Waltraud Chance, 79, of Lawrenceville, Georgia and formerly of Warren, died Sunday, November 14, 2004 at home. She was born Saturday, August 22, 1925 in Germany, the daughter of the late Wladislaus and Maria Delowicz Sendlak.

Mrs. Chance had lived in Lawrenceville for the past 3 1/2 years, coming from Warren. She had been a nursing assistant for 23 years at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She had enjoyed working in the yard and spending tiime with her grandson and friends.

Surviving Mrs. Chance are her daughter, Tanya Maria Chance of Lawrenceville; a grandson, Justin Chance of Lawrenceville; a sister, Marichien Andres of Germany, whom Waltraud saw this past February for the first time since World War II; two nieces: Sigrid Andres and Angelika Andres-Heun, both of Germany; and her many friends.

Preceding Mrs. Chance in death are her parents and her husband, Wendell M. Chance, whom she married November 20, 1965 and who died July 2, 2003.

Friends may call 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon Friday. November 19, 2004 at McFarland and Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481. Following the visitation, entombment will take place at Pineview Memorial Park.
