Walter R. Rank

Walter Ray Rank, 90, of Warren, died at home Tuesday, August 29, 2006. He was born September 10, 1915 in Coshocton, Ohio, the son of C. Howard and Carolyn Taylor Rank.

Mr. Rank graduated from high school in Follansbee, W. Va. and was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Warren. He had worked for 31 years as a rollgrinder at Thomas Steel.

Surviving are a nephew, Vincent Staffileno of Hudson; a niece, Dolores Rouse of Wintersville, Ohio; and a good friend, Thomas "Tim" Ziegler of Warren. Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Emma N. (Grill) Rank, whom he married January 2, 1941 and who died November 9, 2003; and two brothers, Donald and Bruce Rank.

Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, September 2, 2006 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Fr. William Loveless officiating. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery. Friends may call 9:00 to 10:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
