Waldene L. Harley. 88. of Warren, died Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland. She was born July 22, 1923 in Warren, the daughter of James and Susan (Watson) Weir, and had lived in Trumbull County all her life.

A graduate of Leavittsburg High School, Mrs. Harley worked at Ohio Lamp during World War II. A member of First Presbyterian Church, she was a fifty-year member of the Trumbull County Club, and enjoyed golf, cooking, reading, needlework, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Surviving are her husband, Ben Harley, whom she married April 3, 1948; two daughters: Mary (Herb) Bate and Elizabeth "Libby" (Tom) Lewis, both of Warren; two granddaughters: Natalie Bate of Mayfield Heights and Laura (Jason) Creighton of Twinsburg; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are a sister, Inez Burr; and three brothers: Lloyd, Wade, and Harold Weir.

Services are private. Her urn will be laid to rest in the First Presbyterian Church columbarium. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that material contributions be made either to Shepherd of the Valley, 4100 N. River Rd. N.E., Warren, Ohio 44484, or to First Presbyterian Church, 256 Mahoning Ave. N.W., Warren, Ohio 44483.
