Virginia A. Howard

Virginia A. Howard, 91, of Warren, died Friday, August 24, 2007 at Washington Square Healthcare Center. She was born April 14, 1916 in Greensburg, Pa., the daughter of John and Loula (Donaldson) Horton, and had lived in the Warren area since 1999, coming from Ft. Myers, Fla.

Mrs. Howard had worked as a registered nurse and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She enjoyed macrame and line dancing.

Surviving are her children: Margaret (John) Freeze of Poland, Charles R. (Arlene) Howard, Jr. of Derry, N.H., Barbara (Bruce) Irwin of Berlin Center, and Carole (John) Kurpell of Bedford Heights, Ohio; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents; and her husband, Charles R. Howard, Sr., whom she married May 29, 1959 and who died June 4, 2000.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2007 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Fr. Bernard Schmalzried officiating. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown. Material contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 232 Seneca N.E., Warren, Ohio 44481.
