Vincent Wilfred Airhart, 87, of Warren, passed away on Monday evening, December 24, 2012 at his residence.

He was born on May 31, 1925 to Wilfred and Elizabeth (Wyland) Airhart in Carroll Twp., PA. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and served in the Army during WW II.

Vince was the owner operator of Vince's Exxon on the corner of Park and Atlantic Streets. He had worked for Superior Industries prior to owning his gas station and worked for Blessed Sacrament Church after he retired.

He is survived by his loving spouse, the former Louise Hricko, whom he married November 15, 1947. Also surviving are 3 sons; William (Denise) of McDonald, Vincent "Bud" (Kim), and Edward (Jamie) Airhart both of Warren, 4 daughters; Kathy (Robert) E. Diamond of Avon Lake, Nancy S. Harris and Joanne (Thomas) L. Smith both of Girard, and, Vicki (Jim) L. Airhart/Dertinger of Dublin, OH; 11grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Irvin, Eugene and Alvin Airhart, and 3 sisters, Geraldine and LaRue Airhart, and Bernadine Mayes.

Family and friends may gather Friday, December 28, 2012 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at The McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012, 10:00 am, at the Blessed Sacrament Church, with Frs. Einsworth and McCarthy co-celebrating his service. Full military honors will be presented after mass at the church. Internment will follow at All Souls Cemetery, Bazetta Twp. OH.
