CORTLAND - Twyla J. Bronson, 89, died Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 9, 1926 in Warren, the daughter of the late Carl and Edith Llewellyn Brown.
Twyla was a 1943 graduate Warren G. Harding High School and in 1948 from Mt. Union College. She was employed by Braceville and Champion School Systems as a teacher and substitute taught all over Trumbull County. She was a member of NEA, Order of the Eastern Star - Morning Light Chapter #80 for 65 years, White Shrine, Warren Women's Club, and Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Twyla was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and the Mayflower Society and was very involved in genealogy for many years. Twyla volunteered as a poll worker for many years during elections, she also was a volunteer for the American Red Cross, and a Pink Lady for Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church, Warren. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, and babysitting her grandchildren.
Memories of Twyla will be carried on by her husband, Myron Bronson of Cortland, whom she married December 28, 1949; daughter, Karen Reel of Cortland; sons, Myron "Ted" {Sherry} Bronson, Jr. of Warren, David {Trisha} Bronson of Cortland; grandchildren, Jeremy {Marie} Hodges, Alyxandria Bronson, Dylan Bronson, Tyler Bronson, Ainsley Bronson; and great-granddaughter, Kara-Lynn Hodges.
Family will receive friends Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church, Warren. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 pm. with the Rev. Yesudas Devadan officiating. Service of final committal will be at Braceville Township Cemetery in Newton Falls at a later date.
Her family suggests contributions be made in the form of donations to the First United Methodist Church, 309 North Park Ave., Warren, OH 44481.
