Thomas E. Reeder

August 10, 1934 — January 1, 2015

Thomas E. Reeder, of Niles, passed away in his residence at 7:00 a.m. Thursday, January 1, 2015. He was 80.

Mr. Reeder was born August 10, 1934 in Warren, a son of Harry and Elizabeth Holly Reeder.
As a lifelong area resident, he attended Mineral Ridge School Systems. Thomas was of Christian faith.

Mr. Reeder retired after 30 years of employment as a tow motor operator for LTV Steel.

Thomas enjoyed decorating his pickup truck, dining at Hartville Kitchen, and attending garage sales. Most importantly he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

His wife, Hattie Carpenter, whom he married August 5, 1953, passed away in 1998.

Surviving are: 2 sons, Harry and his wife Betty of Warren, and Doug and his wife Carol of Warren; a daughter, Bonnie Coleman of Niles; 2 sisters, Susan Moamis and Janet Hensley both of Niles; 2 step children, Larry and his wife Anita Stamper of York, PA and Nancy and her husband Rod Smith of Panama City, FL; 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Thomas was preceded in death by, a son, Terry Reeder; 2 step sons, Philip Stamper and Clifford McMillan; a step daughter, Nola McElhaney; a great granddaughter, Nevaeh; 3 brothers, Delbert, James, and Sherman Reeder; 2 sisters, Erma McGlone and Helen Clark.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015 in the Wm Nicholas Funeral Home & Cremation Services LLC. 614 Warren Ave. Niles, OH 44446

A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2015 in the funeral home with Rev. Jonathan Moore, pastor of Grace Family Church, Canfield.

Interment will be in Kerr Cemetery.
