Champion, Ohio - Thomas P. Lucas, 70, died Thanksgiving Day at his home in Champion surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 16, 1945 in Sharon, Pennsylvania, the son of the late John and Eleanor (Mauser) Lucas. He was a 21 year survivor of cancer.

Tom was employed by Packard Electric-Delphi as a Method Lab Engineer and was a member of St William Parish, where he was a Eucharistic Minister. He graduated from Sharpsville High School and attended Youngstown State University before he enlisted into the Army.

He enjoyed golfing, the Boston Red Sox and Notre Dame football. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He served his country in the Army as a Sergeant during the Vietnam War.

Memories of Thomas will be carried on by his wife of 46 years, Nancy Filer Lucas, daughter, Jennifer (Gregory) McAllister of Cortland, OH, son, Robert A.J. (Kelly) Lucas of Henderson, NV, grandchildren: Molly and Thomas McAllister, Kelsey and Kristen Lucas, and Jenna and Michael Lucas, sister, Mary Ann Williams of Franklin, PA, brothers: Bernard (Sandy) Lucas of Erie, PA, Robert (Shauna) Lucas of Sharon, PA, and sister, Ellie (Gary) Gates of Warren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eleanor and John Lucas, and son, David T. Lucas.

Family will receive friends Sunday, November 29, 2015 from 3:00 pm till 7:00 pm and Monday, November 30, 2015, 11:30 till 12:30 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. William Parish, Champion Monday at 1:30 pm with the Rev. Father Michael Balash officiating. Services of final committal will follow at Champion Township Cemetery.
