Thomas R. Hernon

Thomas R. Hernon, 74, of 374 Kenmore SE, Warren, died 12:40 PM, Thrusday, June 5, 2003 at St. Joseph Health Center.

He was born in 1929 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late Dick and Lucille Johnston Hernon. He resided in Warren most of his life.

Mr. Hernon graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1947. He served in the United States Army. Graduated from Younstown College in 1953 with a Bachelors degree in Engineering. He worked for 15 years at Wean Engineering in Warren, Lockheed Aircraft in Los Angeles, and Lockheed Missiles in Sunnyvale, CA. Was a drafting Instructor, Vocational Department at Wester Reserve High School for 19 yeras.

He enjoyed playing golf and tennis and liked to read and play cards.

He is survived by his wife, formally Delores Zigmont, and sons; Smauel S. Hernon of Warren, OH, James R. of Columbus OH and Kurt V. of Lorain, OH and sisters Linda Hernon and Sue Malloy of Warren, OH and Nancy Jefferson of Vienna, OH. Grandchildren: Reagan, Hiatt, Stephan, Logan, Eric, Ben.

He is also proceeded in death by a brother; Roger Hernon.

Friends may call at McFarland & Son Funeral Home from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Sunday, June 8, 2003. Funeral Mass will be at St. James Church at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 9, 2003. Father Charles Crumbley will officiate. Burial will take place at Pineview Cemetery.
