Thomas J. "Pappy" Foley, 59, of Howland, died at home Friday, March 10, 2006 after a short illness. He was born November 16, 1946 in Warren, the son of Charles and Wilda (Myers) Foley, and had lived in the Warren area his entire life.

Tom was a 1964 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and a graduate of Kent State University. He retired from Delphi Packard in 2003, having worked as a cutter operator. He was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He enjoyed helping others and spending time with his family.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Rose (Hepburn) Foley, whom he married in 1995; three children: Allen (Monika) Vanscoy of Hebron, Ky., Chris (Carrie) Vanscoy of Gustavus, and Jeannette (Rich) Corley of Howland; four grandchildren: Haley, Kylen, Garrett Corley and Brandon Vanscoy, all of whom loved their "Pappy"; two brothers: Mike (Kathy) Foley of Hudson and Chuck Foley of Cheyenne, Wyo.; a niece, Kelly Foley; and two nephews, Jim and Brett Foley. Preceding him in death are his parents and a brother, Patrick Foley.

Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Fr. Bernard Schmalzried and Fr. George Popovich officiating. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery. Friends may call 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home 9:30 AM Tuesday, before the procession to the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Restoration Fund, 232 Seneca N.E., Warren, Ohio 44481.
