Thomas S. Faus, 71, of Warren, died Monday, June 11, 2012 at University Hospital in Cleveland. He was born December 5, 1940 in Elyria, the son of Dr. Ralph W. and Evelyn (Sheriff) Faus, and had lived in Trumbull County since 1962.
A 1959 graduate of Fairview Park High School, Mr. Faus was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for Union Savings & Trust for 29 years, then as a groundskeeper for AVI Foods for ten years. A member of Christ Episcopal Church, he had also belonged to United Commercial Travel, and was a former board member of Mobile Meals.
Surviving are his wife, Peggy J. (Foster) Faus, whom he married December 28, 1964; two sons, Robert W. of San Diego, Calif. and Kevin L. (Michelle) Faus of Cincinnati; three grandchildren: Benjamin Smith, Celeste Blandon, and Jon Cole; a sister, Betty L. Kepler of Wellington, Ohio; and a brother, Willard Hagenmeyer of Detroit, Mich. Preceding him in death are his mother; his father; his stepmother, Florence (Jackson) Faus, who raised him; and a sister, Marjorie Downing.
His life will be celebrated with a service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2012 at Christ Episcopal Church, with Fr. Jeff Baker officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Christ Episcopal Church columbarium. Material contributions may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, 2627 Atlantic St. N.E., Warren, Ohio 44483.
