Susan G. McLaughlin

Susan Gaye McLaughlin, 60, of Champion, died 12:28 PM Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at home. She was born Thursday, January 27, 1944, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Raymond George and Eileen LaVerne Edwards Doherty.

Mrs. McLaughlin was a graduate of Chardon High School and Ohio University. She had taught English in the Painesville Schools and elsewhere. She was an excellent craft-maker, having sold her items in stores in the U.S. and in Okinawa, and had her craft items and ideas published in a book. She also was an avid reader.

Surviving Mrs. McLaughlin are her husband, James R. McLaughlin, whom she married December 16, 1989; her mother of Locust, North Carolina; and two sisters, Sharon Mason of Mt. Vernon, Ohio and Sara (Kevin) Kutolowski of Locust, North Carolina. Preceding her in death is her father.

There are no services or calling hours. Cremation has taken place.
