Stewart L. McMahan

Stewart L. "Stu" McMahan, Sr. 51, of Warren, died Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at his mother's home in Warren. He was born December 6, 1953 in Youngstown, the son of the late Sidney McMahan and Betty Ann Hall.

Mr. McMahan retired from Thomas Strip Steel as a nickel plater operator with 30 years of service. He was a member of Old Erie Lodge #3, F & AM and the Browns Backers. He enjoyed gardening, the Cleveland Browns, and his dogs.

Mr. McMahan is survived by his mother of Warren; his wife, Frances Kay Sulich McMahan, whom he married December 23, 1997; two daughters: Gayle Lynn (Ron) Mendenhall of Howland and Carey Renee McMahan of Champion; two sons: Stewart L. "Jay" McMahan, Jr., in the U.S. Navy and Travis Martin of California; three stepsons: Ted Sulich of Champion, and Kenny and Kyle McClain of Warren; a brother, Sidney L.(Nannette) McMahan II of Niles; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Mr. McMahan in death are his father; a sister, Gayle McMahan; and a niece, Tracy McMahan.

Masonic services will be 6:00 PM Thursday, April 7, 2005 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481, under the direction of Old Erie Lodge #3, F & AM. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Thursday.
