Steven A. Pollis

Warren, Ohio - Dr. Steven A. Pollis, 87, died Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Hospice House Poland, Ohio. He was born on December 14, 1929 in Middletown, Ohio, the son of the late Steven and Myrtle "Jenny" Hamm Pollis.

Steven was the former Trumbull County Coroner and had previously served as Deputy Trumbull Co Coroner for over 25 years He served as past president of Trumbull Co. Medical Assn, and member of OSMA-Ohio State Medical Assn..

He was a graduate of Picqua High School and earned his bachelors from The Ohio State University and doctorate from The Ohio State College of Medicine. He was a partner with the Pollis and McGuire Medical Practice for close to 40 years.

Dr. Pollis was a member of 1st United Methodist Church and enjoyed camping, hunting, traveling, golf and water skiing.

Memories of Dr. Pollis will be carried on by his wife, Jane Huber Pollis whom he married June 1, 1952, daughter, Sarah (John) Blair of Manhattan, KS, son, Jeffrey Pollis of Champion, daughter, Jean Homan of Tacoma, WA, son, Paul Pollis of Warren,. Cindy and Bill Thirion and family of Warren, grandchildren: Aden Pollis, Layla Negi, Christopher and Justin Blair, Taylor and Kelsey Homan, great-grandchild, Kelton Blair, and dog, Manny

He was preceded in death by his son, Steven H. Pollis, and sister, Stella Durr,

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren. Services will be held immediately following at 2:00 pm with Rev Yesudas Devedan officiating.
