Steffon "Joe" Joseph Scott

Steffon “Joe” Joseph Scott of Howland, passed away on June 29, 2017 at 10:55 a.m. He was 31.
Mr. Scott was born in Media, PA on January 30, 1986, the son of Steffon Scott and Channon J. Timko.
He was a graduate of Howland High School. Following high school, Steffon extended his education at DeVry, Kent State Trumbull Campus, and Kaplan University. Steffon also placed religion as an important part of his life. To further educate himself in Christ’s teachings, he attended Masters Commission Bible College, Chicago, Rhearsburg, and Ohio Valley Teen Challenge.
Steffon was the proud owner and operator of an online retail store affiliated through Amazon.
Mr. Scott as a child was member of Holiness Gospel Mission and later in life he attended Victory Christian Center Liberty Campus.
He loved computers, going to garage sales with his family, and was an excellent cook. Most importantly he loved spending time with family and friends, especially his son.
Steffon is survived by his wife, Jalana Phifer Scott, whom he married May 11, 2012; his son, Isaiah Dante Scott whom resides at home; his mother, Channon J. Timko of Howland; his father Steffon Scott of Howland; 2 brothers, Aaron Scott and Steven M. Firmstone both of Howland; paternal grandparents, William and Barbara Walker of Howland; mother-in-law and father-in-law, LeTanya and Gary Brown; He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Michael and Thelma Irene Timko.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Rauch.
