Sharon G. Pond

Sharon G. Pond, 66, of Howland, died 9:16 AM Monday, December 18, 2006 at Forum Health - Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. She was born March 2, 1940 in Peoria, Ill., the daughter of Henry J. and Mary J. (Sheehan) Grawey.

Mrs. Pond graduated from Academy of Our Lady High School in Peoria and attended Bradley University. In Warren, she was active with the Rotary Youth Exchange Program and was a Paul Harris Fellow. She served with the St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member and former social chairman of the Trumbull Country Club, and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and visiting with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, George Pond, whom she married December 11, 1987; a daughter, Mary Kathleen (Johan) Tenstam of Uppsala, Sweden; a stepdaughter, Christin (Christopher) Farr of Bala Cynwyd, Pa.; a stepson, David W. (Allison) Pond of Moorestown, N.J.; seven grandchildren: Johannes, Emma, and Nils Oliver Tenstam, Keagan and Henry Farr, and Alexandra and Sidney Pond; a sister, Kathleen (Richard) Kyle of Minneapolis, Minn.; and a brother-in-law, Raymond B. Pond of Woodridge, Ill. Her parents precede her in death.
