Sarah Rae Price

Sarah Rae Price, 15, of Warren, died Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at University Hospitals in Cleveland, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 9, 1992 in Warren, the daughter of Gary R. and Brenda Joyce (Metheny) Price.

Sarah was a sophomore at Warren G. Harding High School and attended Calvary Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing Nintendo D.S., listening to music, and using the computer. She also enjoyed camping at Woodsland in Pennsylvania, camping with her family, fishing, and going on trips, especially to West Virginia. Sarah was full of joy and loved everyone, helping others whenever she could. Her family and cousins were special to her, as were Grandma's butter sandwiches.

She will be sadly missed by her parents, Gary and Brenda Price of Warren; her big sisters Amanda M. and Melinda R. Price, both of Warren; her grandmother, Ruth Price of Warren; her aunts and uncles: Fred and Dalia Metheny of Florida, James and Wendy Metheny of Cortland, Mark and Amy Metheny of Girard, Roger Metheny of Warren, Alan Metheny of Warren, Sandy Scott of Pennsylvania, Linda Wines of Tennessee, Delbert and Janice Price of Ohio, and Letha Marsh of Warren; and her many, many cousins and friends. Preceding her in death are her grandfathers, Harold R. Price, who died January, 2007, and Basil L. Metheny, who died in 1979; and her grandmother, June Metheny, who died in 1996.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2007 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. David R. Black of Calvary Presbyterian Church officiating. Friends may call 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday and 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Family and friends will also meet at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday for a graveside committal service at Oakwood Cemetery, with interment to follow. Material contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity, in the name of Sarah R. Price.
