Ruthie E. Bertuzzi
February 24, 1955 — January 28, 2017
Ruthie Elaine Bertuzzi of Niles, passed away at 9:20 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017 in the Hospice House, Poland. She was 61.
Ms. Bertuzzi was born in Warren on February 24, 1955, the daughter of the late Paul Orville and Lucy Caudill Gearheart.
She was a 1972 graduate of LaBrae High School. Following high school Ruthie attended Trumbull Career and Technical Center.
Ruthie held various jobs throughout her life. She was of Pentecostal faith. Ms. Bertuzzi enjoyed collecting jewelry with various gems and stones and had aspirations of working from home doing crafting. Ruthie enjoyed traveling abroad and locally with her longtime companion and love of her life Terry.
She is survived by her companion of almost 20 years and with whom she made her home, Terry Apthorpe of Niles; 2 sons, Jason (Amy) Bertuzzi of Niles and Brad Bertuzzi of Warren; a grandchild, Brendan Scott Sidley; 3 step daughters, Terri M. Kaster of Mercer, PA, Tonya M. Priester of Mercer, PA and Shannon Apthorpe of Altoona, PA; 3 sisters, Wilma, Kathy, and Polly; 3 brothers, Norman, Phil, and Dexter;
In addition to her parents, Ruthie was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Gene, Larry, and Herbie; a sister Margie; a nephew Christopher Cowewey.

A memorial service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2017 in the funeral home with Rev. Mark Vincent pastor of Berlin Center United Methodist Church.
