Ruth Robison, 100, of Southington, died August 31, 2012 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was born January 22, 1912 in Warren City Hospital, which is now Trumbull Memorial Hospital, the daughter of Florence (Hitchcock) and Hollis Fieldhouse.

She lived all her life in Southington. In the mid-1930s, she worked for General Motors, and later on worked for many years as a florist in Garrettsville.

She loved to travel and in her lifetime had visited all fifty states, Canada from Nova Scotia to British Columbia, Europe, Africa, and most of Mexico. She had many hobbies including golf, flowers, raising dogs and gemstone search.

Her husband, Leo Robison, to whom she was married for 59 years, passed away January 7, 1998. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Robert and "Skeet" Fieldhouse; and a daughter, Barbara Alice Robison.

Survivors are a son, Keith Robison of Southington; two granddaughters, Monica Moody and Michelle Lockhart, both of Southington; two great-granddaughters, Mikayla and Makenz Moody; and two great-grandsons, Michael Moody and Nicholas Lockhart.

Her life will be celebrated with a service at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Friends may call 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Her urn will be laid to rest at a later date at Crown Hill Burial Park. Material contributions may be made to the Animal Welfare League, 545 Brunstetter Rd. S.W., Warren, Ohio 44481.
