Ruth A. Hoskin

Ruth A. Hoskin, 61, of Niles, lost her battle with cancer and passed away at 9:40 PM Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Forum Health - Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

Ruth was one of seven children born to William V. and Mary Louise (Guthrie) Hoskin on August 30, 1945, in Sharon, Pa. She retired from Delphi Packard in 1997 and had been working at the Target store in the Eastwood Mall. She had volunteered for the American Red Cross for many years, teaching CPR classes. She enjoyed birdwatching, movies, casinos, and reading, especially Stephen King novels.

Surviving are her fiance, Peter Mehle of Niles; two sons, Raymond L. DePofi of Niles and Niko (Lisa) DePofi of Atlanta, Ga.; a granddaughter, Mika DePofi of Hartford; three sisters: Nancy (Howard) Meyers of Howland, Mary P. (James) Bartlett of Burghill, and Janet (Leo) Gerasimek of Sharpsville, Pa.; and two brothers, Frederick W. (Georgia) Hoskin of Vienna and Harry H. (Geraldine) Hoskin of Champion. Preceding her in death are her parents and two brothers, Thomas E. and Richard Hoskin.

Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, November 18, 2006 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Niles City Cemetery. Friends may call 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday and 9:00 to 10:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
