Ruth E. Hope

Ruth Evelyn Hope, 85, formerly of Trumbull County, died 3:30 AM Friday, December 16, 2005 at Val Verde Regional Medical Center in Del Rio, Texas. She was born February 7, 1920 in Watertown, Mass., the daughter of Rolla Stillman and Ada Leffler Thompson, and had lived in the Warren area from 1929 to 1970.

Ruth was a graduate of Leavittsburg High School, the Youngstown Hospital School of Nursing, and Broward County College in Florida. She had worked as a hotel reservation clerk at several hotels in Florida. She had been active for many years with 4-H Clubs in Southington.

Ruth will be sadly missed by her children: Amy Ruth Bower of Southington, Claudia E. Garvin of Warren, Sandra A. Stall of Del Rio, Texas, and Thomas W. Hope of Southington; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents; a son, Robert Clark Hope; and a brother, James W. Thompson.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, December 29, 2005 at First Assembly of God, 2640 Parkman Rd. N.W., Warren, Ohio 44485, with Rev. L. Albanese officiating. Inurnment at Oakwood Cemetery in Warren will follow. Material contributions may be made to First Assembly of God.
