Ruth Hertfelder

Ruth I. Hertfelder, 96, of Warren, died a quiet, peaceful death, surrounded by family and friends, at 10:35 AM Friday, January 9, 2004 at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland.

She was born on Tuesday, March 26, 1907, in Warren, the daughter of the late Joseph and Nettie Kibler Heinlein.

Mrs. Hertfelder had been a homemaker and a secretary at Bolz-Weir Insurance. She enjoyed traveling, and was very active in Emmanuel Lutheran Church and Eastern Star.

Surviving Mrs. Hertfelder are her husband, Reynolds, whom she married July 27, 1935; a brother, Robert Heinlein of Bradenton, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a sister, Ethel Hinton Sommer; and a brother, Henry Heinlein.

Services for Mrs. Hertfelder will be 11:00 AM Monday, January 12, 2004 at McFarland and Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481, with Pastor Ted Schaffer officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday, with an Eastern Star service 4:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
