Roy Bennett Price of Youngstown who passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 1:07 a.m. in the Hospice of Poland. He was 77.
Roy was born in Youngstown on March 4, 1941, the son of the late Myron Roy and Florence Levand Price.
He was a 1959 graduate of The Rayen High School. Following high school, Roy attended Youngstown State University.
Over the last 40 years, Roy was self employed in the car sales industry, earlier in life Roy worked in various industries throughout the area.
Mr. Price was of Catholic faith. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Indians, and Cavaliers. Roy was very passionate about following the statistics and ups and downs of his teams. Mr. Price loved drag racing and appreciated classic cars.
Roy is survived by his 5 sons, John, David, William, Jimmy, and Anthony Price; a sister, Evelyn Price; 3 brothers, Myron, Robert, and Bruce Price; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. In addition, Roy is survived by his significant other, Barb Valinsky and her two children who he considered his own Bill and Jack Valinsky.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
At Roy’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
