Rosemary (Menz) Gregory

Rosemary Menz Gregory, age 94, of Warren, formerly of Lake Milton, OH, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at her residence.

Born October 17,1922 in Cleveland, Ohio, Rosemary was the daughter of the late Joseph and Willice Downs Menz.

A 1940 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, she began her career working at the Warren Lamp Works during WWII.

Rosemary married Robert Edward Gregory on May 23,1942 who then immediately departed to serve overseas.  Upon his return, the couple began their family, raising seven children. Robert E. Gregory passed away on February 27,1968 at age 49.

Mrs. Gregory was a dispatcher for the Lee Way Motor Freight Company and later received her Realtor’s license. She was a member of the Board of Realtors. Rosemary especially enjoyed assisting young home buyers in their dream of owning a new home.

Singing most of her life, Rosemary was a member of the St. James Choir and accompanied the choir in 1996 to sing at the Vatican, Italy. She enjoyed music of all kinds and was also an avid reader which aided in her wit and sense of humor.  She also golfed throughout her life and was a member of the Early Bird’s Ladies Golf League of Lake Milton.

She is survived by her brother Gilbert Menz (Eilene) and six children: Nora Craig (Melvin), Robert E. Gregory (Colette), Suzanne Arambasick (Danny), Joseph C. Gregory (Pamela), Rosemary Marshall (Larry), Maureen Zelman (Henry), 16 Grandchildren, 20 GreatGrandchildren, and one Great-Great-Grandchild.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Gregory was preceded in death by her eldest daughter Louise Gregory Geist (Allen) in 2009, four great-grandchildren and siblings: Joseph Menz, Alexa (Lucky) Purdy, Harold (Harry) Menz and Betty Ann Gross.
