Rose Ann Prinkey went home to be with our Lord on January 19, 2010. She was born in Youngstown, Ohio on April 29, 1934, the daughter of Mary Loretta Meyers and Richard David Lutz.
Rose sold Avon products in the vicinity for over 40 years. She was active in the church and started the Food Bank at the Leavittsburg Church of God, which she managed for approximately 15 years. Her activities included being a wonderful Christian woman who worked for the Lord through her Food Bank, her Christian poetry, her Compassionate Ministry, and the Senior Adult Ministry at the church.
Rose dearly loved animals, Christian music, serving the Lord and helping others.
She was dearly loved by her family and many friends.
Rose was preceded in death by her son, Scott Lee Thompson in 1991; her mother, Mary Lutz; her father, Richard Lutz; and her sister, Shirley Mae Lepo. She leaves three grandchildren: Krista Nelson, Matthew Thompson, and Chad Thompson of Bristol, TN; two great-grandchildren, Donovan Nelson & Alexander Nelson; two nieces, Jacquelyn Gardner and Renee Lepo; one nephew, Thomas Lepo; two great-nephews and one great-niece.
There will be no calling hours. There will be a memorial service at the Leavittsburg Church of God on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Meadow Brook Memorial Park in Champion.
After the service, there will be a dinner at the church in memory of Rose. At Rose's request, please do not send flowers. Material contributions are to be made to the Leavittsburg Church of God and/or Leavittsburg Church of God Food Pantry, 610 S. Leavitt Rd., Leavittsburg, Ohio 44430.
