Rose M. Culkin

Rose M. Culkin, North Scranton, PA, formerly of Warren, Ohio, died Wednesday morning at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, PA. She was the widow of John J. Culkin, who died in October 1986.

Born in Scranton in 1930, the daughter of the late Michael and Rose Culkin Jordan, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and Lackawanna Business College. Before retirement, she worked for Dr. Hoffman's dental practice as a receptionist. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Scranton, and a former member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Warren, Ohio.

Surviving are nieces and nephews, Carl P. Mills and wife, Mericia, Marie Ceccoli and husband, James, and Thomas Mills; great-nieces and great-nephews, Mericia, Carl and Alice Mills, Adam Burke, Annie and James Ceccoli; and her lifelong friend, Theresa MacDonald, all of Scranton.

She was preceded in death by an infant son; a brother, Monsignor Thomas Jordan; two sisters, Mary McAndrew and Ann C. Mills; and a cousin, Monsignor Joseph Fadden.

The funeral will be Saturday, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1401 Moncrest N.W., Warren, Ohio 44485. The family will greet friends at the church from 9:30 a.m. until Mass time. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery, Cortland, Ohio.
