Rose E. Bliss, 93, of Shepherd of the Valley in Howland and formerly of Warren, died at her residence on Thursday, July 10, 2003.
Mrs. Bliss was born October 6, 1909 in New Martinsville, WV, the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Thomas Games, and had been a resident in Warren since 1935.
Mrs. Bliss was a graduate of the Girard Schools and Youngstown Business College. She worked as a secretary for Motor Finance, East Junior High School and Republic Steel. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Warren and the 50-plus Club at Central Christian Church in Warren.
Surviving Mrs. Bliss are her sons, James Bliss of Howland and John Bliss of Chicago, Illinois; a sister, Josephine Walton of Sarasota, Florida; and a grandson, Dr. Robert I. Bliss of Austintown.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Paul J. Bliss, whom she married July 6, 1935 and who died December 4, 2001; three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bliss will be Saturday, July 12, 2003 at 10:30 AM at First Baptist Church, 3217 Surrey Rd. S.E., Warren, Ohio 44484, with Rev. William Burns officiating. Friends may call at the church an hour before the service. Burial will be at Crown Hill Burial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church.
