FARMDALE - Ronald E. Osborne, 79, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at his residence. He was born on August 17, 1935 in Barkeyville, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Wallace and Aldene (Hoffman) Osborne.
Ronald retired after 21 years from the U.S. Air Force as a Tech Sergeant, having served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He then worked at GM Lordstown as a machine repairman and retired from there after 20 years. He was an avid supporter of the ASPCA and was an active participant in the animal population control program. Ron had all strays he found spayed/neutered and provided veterinary care. Ron was extremely talented with his hands, mechanically and aesthetically restoring all kinds of equipment, vehicles, and farm implements.
Memories of Ronald will be carried on by sons, David F. (Sara) Osborne of Williamsburg, VA, Michael W. Osborne of Murrieta, CA, Allen D. Osborne of Farmdale, Larry C. (Brooke) Osborne of Winnebago, IL; daughter-in-law, Lisa Osborne of Warren; grandchildren, Justin J. (Vicki) Osborne, Geoffrey D. Osborne, Hannah G. Osborne, Jacob C. Osborne, Jericho J. Osborne, Brittany R. Osborne, Bethany L. Osborne, Brianna M. Osborne, Benjamin A. Osborne, Brooklynn E. Osborne; great-grandchildren, Zachary J. Osborne, Kaylie E. Osborne, Max Osborne, and Grace Osborne.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, the former Namie Kitigawa, whom he married April 26, 1955 and died on September 20, 2010; and son, James Osborne.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren and one hour prior to the service. A funeral service will be held at McFarland & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 1:00 pm. Final committal will follow at Meadow Brook Memorial Park in Champion with military honors presented by the American Legion Post #540 Trumbull County Honor Guard.
