AUSTINTOWN– Ronald N. Begeot Sr., 76, passed away on January 17th, 2024, at Mercy Health Youngstown Hospital. Born August 4th, 1947, to Nelson and Lucille Begeot of Hubbard Ohio, Ronald was one of seven brothers.

Growing up and in adulthood, he loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating, and swimming. He enjoyed being around his family and friends and chatting up complete strangers. His hobbies included anything with a motor and wheels, or sleds and tracks. He rode snowmobiles, dirt bikes, 4- wheelers, and loved cars. He was the proud owner of a ruby red Mustang convertible and enjoyed a few car show trophies in his later years.

Ronald graduated from Hubbard High School, class of ‘65. He had a few jobs after high school, then enlisted in the Marine reserves where he served for 7 years. He retired from Simco Management Corp. after 40 years of service in maintenance.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and one younger sibling, Paul Begeot. He leaves his wife: Mary F. Begeot (nee Smith, wed on July 1, 1967), two sons Ronald Jr (Heidi) Begeot, Bradley (Joleen) Begeot, two grandchildren Luke and Jack, and five siblings: Robert (Barb) Livingston, Nelson (Kathy)Begeot, Mike (Maryann) Begeot, Raymond (Carla) Begeot, and David (Terri) Begeot, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
