YOUNGSTOWN - Robert D. Prinkey, 64, died Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at his residence. He was born on November 4, 1950 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Albert and Alberta Fullmer Spohn.
Robert was employed by Kmart Distribution Center and recently as a security guard. He was a volunteer fireman with the Warren Township Fire Department for over 10 years. He was a member of Grace Family Church in Canfield. Robert enjoyed fishing and volunteering.
He served his country in the Army during Vietnam War.
Memories of Robert will be carried on by daughter, Candy Louise Lazzaro of Warren; son, Derrick Prinkey of Youngstown; granddaughters, Dustin Lazzaro and Melody Garrett; great-grandson, Constantine Ginkinger; three brothers, Roy and Paul Prinkey, and Joseph Spohn; two sisters, Kelly Leonhard, and Ginger Farrell; his ex-wife & friend, Chrystal (Melvin) Hetzler of Youngstown, with whom he made his home; and friend, Peggy Fabian of Howland.
He was preceded in death by three brothers; one sister; and son, Robert Prinkey.
Family will receive friends Monday, June 1, 2015 from 1:30 pm till 2:30 pm at the McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren with a memorial service to follow at 2:30 pm. The Rev. Jonathan Moore from the Grace Family Church will be officiating. The American Legion Post #540 Trumbull County Honor Guard will present military honors immediately following the service.
