Robert D. Miller, 62, of Lordstown, ran into heaven with victory in Jesus on Monday, July 18, 2011 from Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. He was born February 19, 1949 in New Martinsville, W. Va., the son of Earl G. and Flossie (Clark) Miller, and had lived in Trumbull County most of his life.

A graduate of Lordstown High School, Mr. Miller retired after 33 years as a crane operator with WCI Steel, then worked at the Royal Racquetball Club in downtown Warren. A charter member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland, he also belonged to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Ky., was a former vice-president of the Federation of Labor, and former treasurer of USWA Local 1375. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, drag racing, and all other sports, especially baseball, where his favorite teams were the Indians and Yankees. He also played old-timers baseball and had been a marathon runner.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia E. (Farkas) Miller, whom he married September 14, 1974; two sons: Randall S. of Warren and Ryan D. Miller of Newton Falls; and one grandson. Preceding him in death are his parents and a brother, Tom Miller.

Interment will take place 12:00 noon Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Lantz Cemetery, Reader, W. Va. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
