Robert M. Lody

Robert M. Lody, 64, of Howland, died after a long illness Friday, January 26, 2007 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born December 11, 1942 in Warren, the son of Joseph and Mary (Veselich) Lody, Sr., and had lived in the Warren area his entire life.

Mr. Lody served in the U.S. Army and retired from Thomas Steel Strip Corp. after 33 years of employment. He enjoyed football, bowling, softball, Westerns, and his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Shelley Baker Lody; two daughters: Kim (Matthew) Kohuth of Cortland and Karen Lutz of Mecca; three stepdaughters: Brandi, Caylie, and Jessica Baker, all of Howland; eight grandchildren; three sisters: Marian McManus of Warren, Joann Fiedler of Indiana, and Doris Smith of Cortland; and two brothers: Joseph (Leda) Lody of Bristol and Kenneth (Diane) Lody of Cortland. Preceding him in death are his parents and a sister, Margaret Martinisko.

Services will be 7:00 PM Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Rick Oaks officiating. Friends may call 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
