Robert L. Latimer, 50, of Champion, died at home Thursday, May 18, 2006 after a brief illness. He was born September 29, 1955 in Warren, the son of Robert C. and Katherine L. Gardner Latimer, and had recently moved back to Trumbull County from Ft. Myers, Fla.
Bob attended Warren G. Harding High School and served in the U.S. Army. He had worked in Florida as a shrimper for many years. He greatly enjoyed boats, swimming, fishing, and anything else having to do with water. He also enjoyed family picnics and reunions.
He will be sadly missed by his mother, Kay Latimer, of Champion; three daughters: Sabrina Mockewich of Hickory, N.C., and Shannon (Manolis) Glykas and Nikkia Houston, both of Cape Coral, Fla.; seven grandchildren: Alexandra and Madison Mockewich, Giannis and Manolis Glykas, and Brianna, Logan, and Nevaeh Houston; two sisters: Karen (David) Ensall of Lakeside, Calif. and Molly Kuszmaul of Rio Rancho, N.M.; and two brothers: Mark Latimer of Florida and John Latimer of Los Angeles, Calif. His father precedes him in death.
Services will be 12:00 Noon Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park. Friends may call 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the funeral home.
