Robert C. Henshaw

Robert C. "Bob" Henshaw, age 92, of Warren, OH died Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Washington Square Health Care Center. He was born September 15, 1918, the son of the former Trumbull County coroner, Dr. John and Mabel (Suhr) Henshaw.
A retired teacher of the New Liskeard (Ontario, Canada) School System, he was an avid supporter of school sports and was a member of the Warren Gridiron and Warren Rebounders Clubs. He was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and Mt. Union College where he was a member of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity and then served in the Army Air Corps during WW II. He and his wife were co-owners and operators of the Nor Loch Lodge in Dwight, Ont. Canada from 1959-1969.
Mr. Henshaw was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church, Warren and the 1st Presbyterian Church, New Liskeard, Ont., and Carroll F. Clapp Lodge # 655 F&AM, Morning Light Chapter # 80 OES, and White Shrine of Jerusalem Trinity Shrine #42 of Warren. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid supporter and sports fan all his life.
Surviving are daughters Suzanne Edmonds, of Warren, and Rebecca Cooke, of New Liskeard, Ont. Canada, and sons; John A. (Kristen) of Lugoff, SC, Thomas C. of Warren, and David B. (Sherry) of Alliance, OH. and 8 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Nancy Jane (Stormer) Henshaw whom he married June 27, 1948 and died April 28, 1994.
Services will be held at the McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Friday, June 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Rick Oaks officiating. Friends may call Thursday 5 PM -7 PM and one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Park. Material contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
