Robert Brantingham

Robert C. Brantingham, age 87, of Warren, and formerly of Salem, OH, died Sunday, October 12, 2003, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital-Forum Center in Warren, Ohio

Robert was born in Gates Mills, OH on January 26, 1916 to the late Martin and Lydia Sherman Brantingham.
He lived in Warren and Salem most of his life, working as a florist in Salem and Warren and was the owner of Endres and Gross Florist Shop in Warren, OH.

Mr. Brantingham was a member of Warren Exchange Club, Gideons, Christian Business Men, Sunday School teacher and jail ministry, Board of Elections and a presiding judge and poll worker. He was a volunteer for Mobile Meals on Wheels and belonged to the Ruritans and Warren Florist Association, charter member and treasurer of Teegarden Acres, and a volunteer of Friends Disaster relief. He was also a member of the First Assembly of God in Warren, OH and the 55 and Alive group. He spent the winters in Lakeland, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his first wife; Kathryn M. Cope Brantingham who died January 6, 1988, and two brothers; Reverends Sherman and Paul Brantingham.

He is survived by his current wife Esther Eicher Brantingham of Warren, OH, a daughter, Mrs. (Fred) Mary Fulton of Champion, OH, a son, Jay (Joan) Brantingham of Warren, OH, one Sister, Esther (Lowell) Ewing of Salem, OH, one Brother, Maynard Brantingham of Mountain Home, AR. seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Calling hours will be held at the McFarland & Son Funeral Home, 271 N. Park Ave. Warren, OH from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 15, 2003, and from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM Thursday, October 16, 2003 at First Assembly of God where the Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM. Pastor Larry Albanese of First Assembly of God (Warren) and Rev. Warren Outhwaite of Grace United Methodist Church (Warren) will be officiating.

A committal service will be held in the Chapel of Grandview Cemetery in Salem, Ohio at 2:30 pm for those who wish to attend.
