Robert L. Boyles, 81, of Bristolville, died Friday, May 4, 2012 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. He was born August 2, 1930 in Farmdale, the son of Edward and Bonita (Mellinger) Boyles, and had lived in Northeast Ohio all his life.

A Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Boyles worked in set-up for Johnson Rubber for 48 years, retiring in 1993, and also worked with his brother in the family business, Boyles Burner Services in Orwell. A member of the Bristolville United Methodist Church, he enjoyed bowling, fishing, woodworking, gardening, planting, and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia A. (Niznik) Boyles, whom he married February 9, 1972; four children: Justine (Tim) Dorantich of Newton Falls, Kimberly Sprague of Champion, Mark Almy of Bristolville, and Cheryl (Kelly) Boyle of Champion; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters; and two brothers. Preceding him in death are a daughter, Jodi L. Boyles; three sisters; and three brothers.

Mr. Boyles's life will be celebrated with a service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Rev. Shirley Frantz officiating. Full military honors will be conferred following the service. Friends may call 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
