Rita O. Furlong

Rita Furlong, 97, died Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Cortland Health Center. She was born on September 21, 1918 In Worcester, Massachusettes, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Ribidoux Chiveney.
Rita was a homemaker who enjoyed playing board games, spending time with her family and her coffee club with her friends.
Memories of Rita will be carried on by her daughters, Linda Furlong of Erie, Colorado, Betty Furlong of Niles and Doris (Jim) Daugherty of Mason, Ohio.She leaves 7 grandchildren, Ryan, Christine(Rich), Devon, Eric (Amy), Jennifer, Nathan and Jessie (Ryan). She also leaves 6 Great grandchildren, Sara, Alex, Nick, Amanda, Rheilly and Taylor and 2 Great- great grandchildren, Luna and Alora.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Otha Furlong whom she married June 30th, 1945 and 2 brothers.
