Ricky L. Phipps

Champion Twp., Ohio - Ricky L. Phipps , 54, died Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital Emergency Room. He was born on April 25, 1959 in Warren, Ohio, the son of Joseph and Jean (Persin) Phipps.

Ricky was employed by Moody Plumbing before he became disabled. He enjoyed motorcycling, hunting, fishing and camping. He was a 1977 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and had served his country in the US Army.

Memories of Ricky will be carried on by his parents of Cortland; wife, Joanna (Macciocca) Phipps of Champion, whom he married October 18, 1986; sisters, Marcia K. (Jim) Hughes of Cortland, and Debbie (Clyde) Clark of Warren; sister-in law, Anne Dawson of Warren, plus many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Alan Joseph Phipps.

Family will receive friends Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 5-8 pm at the McFarland & Son Funeral Home, Warren. Services will be held on Monday at 10:30am at the Funeral Home with Fr. Michael Balash of St. William Catholic Church officiating. Final committal service will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Cortland with full military honors by the Trumbull County Honor Guard.
