WARREN - Richard H. Pringle, 85, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at St. Joseph's Health Center. He was born on February 13, 1928 in Warren, the son of the late Robert and Mildred M. (Hoffman) Pringle.
Richard was employed for 25 years by Packard Electric in Warren as a Supervisor. He loved model trains. He had an HO train with detailed landscape and buildings set up in his basement. He loved to go fishing, especially in Canada. He was a member of the Champion Presbyterian Church.
He served his country in the US Army after WWII traveling to India, China and Japan delivering prisoners of war.
Memories of Richard will be carried on by son, Mark L. (Brenda) Pringle of Girard; grandson, Scot (Jennifer) Pringle of Newton Falls; great-grandson, Tyler J. Pringle and brother, Dan (Carolyn) Pringle of Sun City, AZ.
Preceded in death by his parents and wife, Dorothy H. (Moody) Pringle, whom he married July 10, 1948 and shared 58 years of marriage until her passing in 2007.
Calling hours will be from 10 -11am on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Champion Presbyterian Church, 4997 Mahoning Avenue NW, Warren, OH 44483. A memorial service will begin at 11 am with the Rev. Cynthia Klingemier officiating.
His family suggest contributions be made in the form of contributions to Central Christian Church, Music Fund, 2051 E. Market Street, Warren, OH 44483.
