Richard L. Haines, 73, of Warren, died Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.
He was born October 22, 1930 in West Mansfield, Ohio, the son of the late Chandos and Lucille Jones Haines. Mr. Haines was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He had been executive director of the Warren Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Warren, the Buckeye Club, BPO Elks Lodge #295, and the Masonic Lodge in Marion, Ohio.
Surviving Mr. Haines are his wife, Carolyn Creager Haines, whom he married May 13, 1956; a daughter, Suzie (Dan) D'Alio of Howland; a son, Steve (Robin) Haines of Corbin, Kentucky; a sister, Marilyn Sylvester of Plymouth Meeting, Pa.; five grandchildren: Tiffany (Larry) Infante, Abby D'Alio, Gina D'Alio, Branden Haines, and Joshua Haines; and a great-granddaughter, Mia Infante.
Preceding Mr. Haines in death are his parents and a brother, Max Haines.
Services for Mr. Haines will be 1:00 PM Monday, April 26, 2004 at First United Methodist Church, 309 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio 44481, with Rev. Rick Oaks officiating. Friends may call at the church an hour before the service. Friends may also call 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday at McFarland and Son Funeral Home, 271 North Park Avenue, Warren, Ohio, 44481.
