Richard "Bubba" Burton

HOWLAND - Richard "Bubba" L. Burton, 48, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at his residence. He was born September 18, 1965 in Warren, the son of Ernest and Nellie (Vickers) Burton.

He was a 1983 graduate of Warren G. Harding and was a veteran of the US Army. Richard loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Memories of Richard will be carried on by his mother, Nellie Burton of Champion; wife, Lisa (Gadd) Burton, whom he married June 28, 1987 of Howland; daughter, Kristi (Corey) Metzenroth of Champion; sons, Nicholas (Chloe) Burton, Dustin Burton, both of Howland; sister, Elizabeth (Tim) Kriner of Bazetta; grandchildren, Alexis Metzenroth, Zoe Metzenroth and Oliver Burton.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Burton.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 7:00 pm at The Movement, 480 East Market Street, Warren, Ohio 44481 with Pastor John Ramsey officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
