Regina L. Sloss

Regina L. Sloss, 88, of Warren, died Friday, September 2, 2011 at Windsor House of Champion. She was born January 28, 1923 in Weston, W. Va., the daughter of Doy and Clara (Bush) Payne, and had lived in West Virginia and Akron, Ohio before moving to Trumbull County.

Mrs. Sloss had worked as a cosmetic technician at People's Drug Store in Akron, specializing in skin care and perfumes.

Surviving are a sister, Reona Carol Boothby of Riverside, Calif.; two nieces: Jean Ann Abosamra of California and Glenda Emory of Washington state; a nephew, Mike Payne of Richmond, Va.; a special friend, Nicole (David) Sullivan of Leavittsburg; and three children who called her "Grandma": Karley, Jacob, and Riley Sullivan. Preceding her in death is her husband, George Sloss; two brothers: Charles and Ralph Payne; and her longtime friend and companion, John English.

Graveside services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Weston Masonic Cemetery in Weston, W. Va., with interment to follow.
