Reba Yeager

Reba Yeager, 83, of Warren, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Gillette Nursing Home. She was born January 18, 1926 in Key West, Fla., the daughter of Nathaniel Thomas and Juliette (Griner) Saunders, and had lived in Trumbull County since 1945, coming from Florida.

An active member of Christ Episcopal Church, where she had belonged to the Altar Guild, Mrs. Yeager enjoyed western music, cooking, playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was an avid card player. She had worked as a medical assistant for area neurosurgeons, and had worked as a civilian at the naval station in Key West during World War II.

Surviving are her daughters: Carol Lee (Kenneth) Clark of Smyrna, Ga., Jacqueline Ann (Donald) Keller of Naperville, Ill., and Diana Lee Yeager of Tampa, Fla.; eight grandchildren: Stacy (Randy) Prewett, Tricia (Kevin) Kirby, Brandi (Corey) Battle, Julie, Donald M. (Stacy), and Michael W. Keller, and Chloe and Simon Hanis; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Rose Mae Renner of Tucson, Ariz., and a sister-in-law, Nona Behner. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Robert Lee Yeager, whom she married June 11, 1982 and who died December 27, 2000; three sisters: Juliette Parramore, Helena Johnson, and Florene Sands; and a great-granddaughter, Shelby Prewett.

Cremation has taken place, and her urn was laid to rest in the columbarium of Christ Episcopal Church. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date in the chapel of Christ Episcopal Church.
