Raymond J. Logan, age 89, formerly of Champion, died Saturday, October 4, 2003, at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland, Ohio
Mr. Logan was employed by the U. S. Post Office as a clerk at the Warren main branch for 35 years and was a 1935 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. He served in the United States Navy in the Pacific theater during World War II.
Mr. Logan had been recently honored as one of the founding members of St. Williams Church in Champion, He was also a member of it's Men's Club and an avid fan of Notre Dame University and the Cleveland Indians.
He is survived by his wife, Marguerite (Wormley) Logan whom he married April 27, 1935, daughter Marcelline (James) Kennedy, of Dayton, OH, son Thomas (Lynda) Logan of Lordstown, OH, and daughter Maureen (Roger) Samuelson, of Champion, OH, one sister Bernadette Rossnagel of Warren, OH, and 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Two brothers Harold & Robert Logan are predeceased.
Arrangements are being handled by MCARDELL-WHITE-MCFARLAND FUNERAL SERVICES, 271 North Park Ave. Warren, OH where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday and Tuesday 9:30 till the time of the service at St. Williams Church 5431 Mahoning Ave., Warren, OH. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Williams Church at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 7, 2003, and The Rev. Fr. Michael J. Smar will be officiating. Interment will be at All Souls Cemetery in Cortland, Ohio
